SHRM College (“SHRM”) is committed to protecting the personal data of everyone we deal with, including applicants, students, alumni and staff. We collect, use and disclose personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“Act”).

Our Principles

1. Before we collect any personal data, we will tell you about the purposes for which it may be collected, used and disclosed, and obtain your consent for those purposes.
2. We will collect personal data by lawful and fair means and only collect personal data that is relevant to those purposes.
3. We will use and disclose personal data only for the purposes we have told you about. If we intend to use your personal data for any other purpose, we will first seek your written consent, unless government agencies require it or the Act permits it.
4. We will not disclose your personal data to any third party without your consent, unless the disclosure is permitted under the statutory exemptions in the Act.
5. We will take appropriate measures to keep your personal data accurate, complete and up to date.
6. We will protect your personal data with reasonable security arrangements against loss, theft and unauthorised access, use, disclosure, copying or modification. Access to personal data is restricted to staff who need it to carry out their duties.
7. We will keep personal data only as long as it is needed for its purpose or for legal requirements, and then securely dispose of it.
8. Any suspected data breach is assessed by our Data Protection Officer, who will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and the individuals affected where required.
