Policy<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-7251\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-7251\"><p><strong><u>Termination and Refund Policy<\/u><\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Application Fee for courses is non-refundable.<\/li><li>Refunds are based on the following terms and conditions:<\/li><\/ol><table><tbody><tr><td width=\"302\"><strong>If the Contracting Party\u2019s written notice of withdrawal is received<\/strong><\/td><td width=\"302\"><strong>% of [the amount of Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid under Schedules B and C]<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td width=\"302\">More than 30 working days before the Course Commencement Date<\/td><td width=\"302\">70%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td width=\"302\">On or before, but not more than 30 working days before the Course Commencement Date<\/td><td width=\"302\">40%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td width=\"302\">On or after the Course Commencement Date<\/td><td width=\"302\">0%<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><ol start=\"3\"><li>There is a \u201ccooling-off\u201d period of 10 calendar days after signing the PEI-Student Contract. Within these 10 calendar days, and regardless of whether the Course Commencement Date has passed, the student can submit a written notice of withdrawal to SHRM and receive the full refund of Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid. SHRM will not deduct any Non-Tuition Fees consumed by the student during the cooling-off period from the refunded amount.<\/li><li>Deduction of Non-Tuition Fees consumed by the student for refunds outside the cooling-off period is stipulated in the Miscellaneous Fees schedule of the Student Contract. It includes uniform (if issued), prorated resource fee (books, study notes, culinary materials), ICA Student\u2019s Pass fees, medical check-up, medical insurance, and premiums under the Fee Protection Scheme.<\/li><li>As per the Standard PEI-Student Contract, a student who transfers from the Programme to another Programme with SHRM shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Programme, and the refund policy will be applied on the same terms and conditions as withdrawal.<\/li><li>For transfers and withdrawals, refunds (if any) will be processed and disbursed within 7 working days of the written notice of withdrawal\/transfer given by the student, and SHRM will communicate the computation of the refund amount to the student.<\/li><li>Written notice of withdrawal received after 3.00 pm will be considered as submitted on the next working day.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong><u>Refund Events<\/u><\/strong><\/p><ol><li>SHRM will notify the student in writing within 3 working days after becoming aware of any of the following (each a \u201cRefund Event\u201d):<br \/><ol type=\"a\"><li>SHRM cannot commence the provision of the Course on the Course Commencement Date;<\/li><li>SHRM cannot complete the provision of the Course by the Course Completion Date;<\/li><li>The Course will be terminated before the Course Completion Date;<\/li><li>The student does not meet the course entry or matriculation requirements as stated in Schedule A of the Student Contract; or<\/li><li>The Immigration &amp; Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) rejects the student\u2019s application for the Student\u2019s Pass.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Where SHRM cannot commence the Course, cannot complete the Course, or the Course is terminated before completion:<br \/><ol type=\"a\"><li>SHRM shall use reasonable efforts to make alternative study arrangements for the student and shall propose such alternative study arrangements in writing to the Contracting Party within 10 working days of informing the Contracting Party of the Refund Event.<\/li><li>If the Contracting Party accepts such alternative study arrangements, SHRM shall set out the alternative study arrangements in a written contract, and the existing Contract shall automatically terminate on the date that the new written contract comes into effect.<\/li><li>If SHRM does not propose alternative study arrangements within the time stipulated above, or the Contracting Party does not accept them, the Contracting Party may terminate the Contract immediately by way of a written notice to SHRM.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Where the student does not meet the course entry or matriculation requirements, or ICA rejects the Student\u2019s Pass application, SHRM shall terminate the Contract immediately by way of a written notice to the Contracting Party.<\/li><li>Refunds upon termination due to a Refund Event will be made within 7 working days of the termination as follows:<br \/><ol type=\"a\"><li>SHRM cannot commence the Course, and no alternative study arrangement is accepted: full refund of all Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid.<\/li><li>SHRM cannot complete the Course, or the Course is terminated before completion, and no alternative study arrangement is accepted: refund of Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees in proportion to the uncompleted portion or duration of the Course, whichever is higher.<\/li><li>The student does not meet the course entry or matriculation requirements, or ICA rejects the Student\u2019s Pass application: full refund of all Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><p>Please refer to the Refund Events flowchart below.<\/p><p><strong>Refund for Withdrawal During the Cooling-Off Period<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Notwithstanding anything herein contained, the Contracting Party shall be entitled, without any liability whatsoever to SHRM, to terminate the Contract at any time within the Cooling-Off Period by way of a written notice to SHRM. SHRM shall return all Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid to it within 7 working days of receipt of the written notice.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>Refund for Withdrawal Outside the Cooling-Off Period<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Without prejudice to the above, the Contracting Party may terminate the Contract at any time before the Course Completion Date by providing a written notice to SHRM. Upon receipt of such notice, SHRM shall, within 7 working days, refund to the Contracting Party such amount (if any) as determined in accordance with Schedule D of the Student Contract.<\/li><li>Students may appeal a refund decision in writing within 7 working days of being notified of the outcome. The CEO decides the appeal and the student will be informed in writing within 7 working days.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>Refund Policy for Short Course (SOA)<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Short Courses are not eligible for refunds unless the following circumstances occur:<br \/><ol type=\"a\"><li>The course cannot commence as scheduled;<\/li><li>The course is cancelled\/terminated;<\/li><li>The course is cancelled mid-way; or<\/li><li>The student fails to meet the entry requirements for the course.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>SHRM will notify the student within 3 working days if they are eligible for a refund. SHRM may offer alternative study arrangements so that the student can continue learning. Otherwise, the student will be given a full refund of Course Fees within 7 working days of the above notice if the student decides to withdraw before the course commencement Student Request for Refund<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1271\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1271\"><ul><li>All conditions in the Refund Policy must be satisfied before SHRM can proceed with the application. The whole refund process will not take more than 7 working days from the date the refund\/transfer\/withdrawal request is received to notifying the student of the outcome (including disbursement, if any).<\/li><li>Students who wish to request a refund are to fill in the Refund Request Form with all necessary details and attach any supporting documents\/evidence (if any) required to process the request. REFUND APPROVAL<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1272\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1272\"><ul><li>The Admissions and Operations Division will compute the refund amount in accordance with the Refund Policy and Schedule D of the Student Contract, indicate it on the Refund Request Form, and submit it to the CEO for approval.<\/li><li>If the student is not eligible for a refund, the Admissions and Operations Division will issue a formal letter of no refund to inform the student of the outcome.<\/li><li>Students who wish to appeal should submit an official letter stating the reasons within 7 working days of being notified of the outcome. The CEO decides the appeal, and the student will be informed in writing within 7 working days. Where SHRM cannot commence the Course, cannot complete the Course, or the Course is terminated before completion: SHRM shall use reasonable efforts to make alternative study arrangements for the student and shall propose such alternative study arrangements in writing to the Contracting Party within 10 working days of informing the Contracting Party of the Refund Event. If the Contracting Party accepts such alternative study arrangements, SHRM shall set out the alternative study arrangements in a written contract, and the existing Contract shall automatically terminate on the date that the new written contract comes into effect. If SHRM does not propose alternative study arrangements within the time stipulated above, or the Contracting Party does not accept them, the Contracting Party may terminate the Contract immediately by way of a written notice to SHRM. Where the student does not meet the course entry or matriculation requirements, or ICA rejects the Student\u2019s Pass application, SHRM shall terminate the Contract immediately by way of a written notice to the Contracting Party. Refunds upon termination due to a Refund Event will be made within 7 working days of the termination as follows: SHRM cannot commence the Course, and no alternative study arrangement is accepted: full refund of all Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid. SHRM cannot complete the Course, or the Course is terminated before completion, and no alternative study arrangement is accepted: refund of Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees in proportion to the uncompleted portion or duration of the Course, whichever is higher. The student does not meet the course entry or matriculation requirements, or ICA rejects the Student\u2019s Pass application: full refund of all Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid. Please refer to the Refund Events flowchart below. Refund for Withdrawal During the Cooling-Off Period Notwithstanding anything herein contained, the Contracting Party shall be entitled, without any liability whatsoever to SHRM, to terminate the Contract at any time within the Cooling-Off Period by way of a written notice to SHRM. SHRM shall return all Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees paid to it within 7 working days of receipt of the written notice. Refund for Withdrawal Outside the Cooling-Off Period Without prejudice to the above, the Contracting Party may terminate the Contract at any time before the Course Completion Date by providing a written notice to SHRM. Upon receipt of such notice, SHRM shall, within 7 working days, refund to the Contracting Party such amount (if any) as determined in accordance with Schedule D of the Student Contract. Students may appeal a refund decision in writing within 7 working days of being notified of the outcome. The CEO decides the appeal and the student will be informed in writing within 7 working days. Refund Policy for Short Course (SOA) Short Courses are not eligible for refunds unless the following circumstances occur: The course cannot commence as scheduled; The course is cancelled\/terminated; The course is cancelled mid-way; or The student fails to meet the entry requirements for the course. SHRM will notify the student within 3 working days if they are eligible for a refund. SHRM may offer alternative study arrangements so that the student can continue learning. Otherwise, the student will be given a full refund of Course Fees within 7 working days of the above notice if the student decides to withdraw before the course commencement date. \u00a0 refund events refund procedure 1.
